Who is it for?

Young people between the ages of 16 and 35 living in LeMoyne, Saint-Lambert or Greenfield Park who want to learn more about entrepreneurship, believe they have what it takes to start a business, or have an idea for a business.

Why?

With Espace Pivot, you can learn more about the realities of being an entrepreneur and validate if this is a job for you. You can also confirm your project idea and discover the steps to implement it. Our qualified advisors are able to offer you personalized coaching based on your experience, skills, interests and current reality.

How?

Depending on your needs, the duration of the individual and personalized support you can receive depends on your needs. For some, a single session is enough; for others, the process is extended over several sessions. These meetings may include the following topics :

  • Demystify the entrepreneurial profession;
  • Assessing your level of knowledge about entrepreneurship;
  • Validating your entrepreneurial profile using proven tools;
  • Establish the fundamentals of your business project;
  • Get to know the resources that can help you get from idea to action;
  • Make an evaluation of your skills and determine the steps necessary to carry out your project;
  • Validate your project and your business model;
  • Discover the different types of entrepreneurship;
  • Training and development for entrepreneurs in the sector;
  • The different workshops, activities and networking opportunities available in the sector;
  • The different sources of financing available to start a project like yours;
  • The different resources available in the area;
  • Etc.

What are we often asked?

Will you offer me funding to start my entrepreneurial project?

Espace Pivot is not a direct funding resource for entrepreneurial projects. Nevertheless, depending on the case, some of our programs, such as Youth Volunteers or Créneau carrefour jeunesse, can include financing. We will also be able to guide you towards the most appropriate financial resources for your project.

How easy is it to become an entrepreneur?

No job is easy. Like any other job, it takes a lot of energy and effort to carry out an business project. That’s why we can help you find out if being an entrepreneur is right for you!

What type of business should I start?

There is no universal answer to this question. Of course, some types of businesses work better than others, but your reality, your needs and your interests also count for a lot in the decision.

Ask yourself first what you are passionate about and if there is a market need in that area. We can help you consider a potential business model that matches your reality, interests and skills, and is designed for the current market.
